A purpose-built facility for regional families.

The Cobar Early Learning Centre delivers a modern childcare and community facility designed to support families in regional New South Wales. The centre provides new playrooms, outdoor learning spaces, and support areas in a safe and welcoming environment, significantly improving early education services for the community.

DC Partnership acted across multiple disciplines to support the delivery of this important community project. Our fire safety engineers resolved compliance challenges inherent in a single-storey childcare setting, including tailored strategies for fire compartmentation, travel distances, and egress provisions suited to very young occupants. Our access and inclusive design team developed a strategy that ensured universal access into the building while also carefully controlling access out of the building, keeping children safe within a secure environment. Finally, our BCA team provided guidance on materiality and compliance pathways to support the architectural team’s outstanding design and material selections.

The result is a facility that is safe, inclusive, compliant, and designed to nurture the next generation in a high-quality learning environment.
