Building Code Consultancy, Fire Safety Engineering, Accessibility & Inclusive Design
The Concord Oval redevelopment for the City of Canada Bay created a multi-use venue for professional athletes, community groups, fitness users and children. Designed by SutersARCH and completed in 2022, it brings together four indoor community sports courts, a functional training gym, spaces for West Harbour Rugby Club, a High Performance Centre for the Wests Tigers NRL club and dedicated female facilities.
DC Partnership provided Building Code Consultancy, Fire Safety Engineering, and Accessibility & Inclusive Design. With community, club and elite high-performance uses sharing one venue, DCP worked alongside the project team on an integrated strategy that supported the design’s open, porous character while keeping the building safe and easy for everyone to use.
The venue was named Community Facility of the Year (NSW/ACT) at the 2024 Parks & Leisure Australia Awards.
A venue where elite sport and community life share the same front door.
