CrowdEx was established in late 2025 as a dedicated service within DC Partnership focused on crowd experience and safety. It was created to support projects where understanding how people move is critical from stadiums and festivals to transport hubs, public spaces and broader precincts. This marks an important area of growth for DC Partnership, and we’re looking forward to helping clients shape spaces that work well for the people who use them and the activities they support.

Our new Principal, Tony, shares his thoughts:

“I’m excited to lead CrowdEx as we continue to grow this capability within DC Partnership. Our aim is simple: to take the national and international experience we’ve gained and combine it with DC Partnership’s strengths in Building Code Consultancy, Fire Safety Engineering and Inclusive Design & Accessibility. Together, these skills give us the ability to approach crowd experience and safety from multiple angles, creating solutions that are practical, integrated and grounded in real‑world behaviour.

What sets our team apart is the breadth of environments we’ve worked in. From major stadiums and festivals to transport hubs and everyday public spaces, we’ve seen how crowd behaviour shifts with each setting. This experience allows us to provide clear, evidence‑based insights that support design and operational decisions, helping create places that work well for the people who use them.

We’re a team that values curiosity and collaboration, and we use those qualities to get to the heart of how a space works. Whether we’re modelling complex scenarios, testing event overlays or supporting long‑term building and precinct planning, our focus is always on delivering work that is robust, useful and adds real value for our clients.”

As CrowdEx continues to grow, we look forward to working with clients who value practical, evidence‑based crowd and people movement insights. We’ll be sharing more updates as we expand our work and support projects across events, venues and precincts.
