The Frensham Centenary Pool celebrates 100 years of the school with a new aquatic centre designed for students, staff, and the wider community. The facility provides a 25-metre pool, supporting amenities, and spectator seating, creating a flexible space for both school use and major community events.
DC Partnership acted as the access and inclusive design consultants. A key challenge was the pool’s location within the broader rural campus, requiring careful planning to ensure seamless access connections across the site. We also developed strategies for the placement and layout of spectator stands so that on days when the facility hosts public events, seating arrangements remain fully accessible and inclusive.
Our involvement ensured the pool can be enjoyed equitably by all users, whether for daily school programs or large-scale community gatherings.
