The Granville Multipurpose Centre provides a vibrant new community facility, delivering flexible spaces for events, learning, and recreation. Located alongside the existing swimming centre, the project strengthens the civic heart of Granville by creating a seamless connection between old and new community assets.
DC Partnership acted across all three disciplines—access and inclusive design, BCA, and fire safety engineering. Our access strategy focused on ensuring equitable and seamless connections between the new centre and the adjoining swimming complex, supporting council’s vision for an inclusive, community-focused facility. BCA and fire safety services were closely interrelated, with our role centred on clearly defining the new works as a separate building from the existing structures. This demarcation avoided unnecessary scope creep while ensuring compliance was targeted, efficient, and achievable.
Through a coordinated and pragmatic approach, we enabled the delivery of a safe, inclusive, and compliant civic facility that serves the Granville community now and into the future
