The icare Workplace fitout reimagined five floors of a Sydney CBD office tower, creating a modern and collaborative environment that connects people and teams across multiple levels. The design introduced a new internal stairway to foster connection and movement, while carefully integrating with the constraints of the existing base building.
DC Partnership acted as the BCA and Accessibility and Inclusive Design consultants. For BCA, our key challenge was enabling the new stairway across five existing levels. In consultation with the project’s fire safety engineer, we developed a compliance strategy that allowed the stair to be introduced seamlessly while dovetailing into existing fire safety measures. From an accessibility and inclusive design perspective, we ensured equitable and dignified access across all levels, aligning the fitout with workplace standards and regulatory requirements.
The result is a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace that reflects icare’s commitment to collaboration and innovation.
