Building Code Consultancy, Accessibility & Inclusive Design
The icare workplace brings four business units from across the Sydney CBD together in one place. SutersARCH designed it around the idea of a town, with precincts for different uses, civic spaces and a main street. Delivered by Shape across five floors of a CBD office tower, the 7,500 m² fitout was completed in 2016 and introduced a new internal stair to connect people and teams across levels.
DC Partnership provided Building Code Consultancy and Accessibility & Inclusive Design. Working with the project’s fire safety engineer, DCP developed a strategy that allowed the new stair to be introduced across five existing levels and work with the building’s existing fire safety measures, while the accessibility and inclusive design advice supported equitable, dignified use of every floor.
