The redevelopment of Rainbow Street Public School in Randwick delivered a major expansion to meet the needs of a growing local community. The works included new learning spaces, specialist facilities, a library, and upgraded play areas, creating a contemporary school environment that supports both students and staff.
DC Partnership acted across all three disciplines—Fire Safety Engineering, BCA, and Accessibility and Inclusive Design. Our fire safety strategy addressed complex issues around multi-storey learning environments and large play areas, ensuring safe egress and effective compartmentation. The accessibility and inclusive design team worked closely with School Infrastructure NSW’s EFSG requirements to create equitable, dignified access across teaching and play areas for all students.
Our BCA team played a central role in coordinating compliance from concept to completion, ensuring the design, documentation, and delivery aligned with legislative requirements without compromising the architectural vision.
The outcome is a safe, inclusive, and compliant school that provides high-quality facilities for the next generation of learners.
