UKO Alexandria delivers a modern co-living model inspired by the site’s industrial context. The project combines flexible apartment living with shared amenities, all framed by an architectural language that reflects the surrounding warehouse character.
DC Partnership acted as the Fire Safety Engineers and Accessibility and Inclusive Design consultants. From a fire safety perspective, our role focused on preserving the architectural intent while ensuring compliance, including a bespoke approach to the fire booster arrangement, addressing external fire spread risks from horizontal projections, and tailoring egress strategies. In parallel, our accessibility and inclusive design team led an approach to unit layouts that responded to occupant demographics, ensuring efficient and equitable outcomes across the development.
The result is a safe, inclusive, and design-led co-living community that balances architectural ambition with resident wellbeing.
