The Centenary Theatre at Taronga Zoo is a purpose-built immersive cinema designed to host large audiences and showcase the zoo’s conservation and education programs. The theatre delivers a world-class visitor experience, combining state-of-the-art audio-visual technology with a striking architectural form.
DC Partnership acted as the Fire Safety Engineers, developing a bespoke egress assessment tailored to the theatre’s unique operational requirements. Our strategy addressed the challenges of large and diverse occupant loads — from school groups and families to international visitors — ensuring that evacuation provisions were safe, efficient, and compliant while supporting the architectural and functional vision of the space.
